We are proud to present the "Trip J Foundation Safe Summer Concert & Youth Expo"! The recent gun violence that has been making national news in our country has crept into our own community right here in Louisville, KY. Couple that with the dangerous and increasingly deadly drug epidemic, we are constantly conferring with our parents trying to find more ways to be proactive using what means and connections we have to make a positive impact on our community mostly in small ways. We believe heavily, that early violence and illicit drug use prevention starts by targeting youth and keeping them engaged in positive and affirming activities that build character, self-esteem and promote positive mental health & wellness.The Safe Summer Explosion concert will endeavor to showcase youth and young adult artists of both performance and visual talents. We also want to highlight young entrepreneurs and provide them with a platform to merchandise and promote their art, artisan wares and talents. Trip J Band and EPK4 will be performing! This event is free to the public, there will be a variety of artists, youth and young adult vendors and so much more!Our goal is to engage and encourage the community to enjoy the summer with creative and safe ways to have fun throughout the summer with the aim of offsetting community violence, youth crime and drug use by exposing youth to other youth entrepreneurs and inspiring others to change the community.
